Irish-born merchant of Pennsylvania and New Orleans, and United States agent in New Orleans (1777) and Havana, Cuba (1783). Letters from correspondents in Philadelphia, Louisiana, and Pensacola pertain mainly to commerce in Louisiana, Pollock's business affairs, and to his imprisonment in Cuba.
