Lyle Saxon was a feature writer for the New Orleans Times-Picayune (1918-1926), state director of the Louisiana Writers' Project (1935-1942), and author of several books on the history and culture of Louisiana and New Orleans. He also befriended many of the day's writers, including Sherwood Anderson, John Dos Passos, Thomas Wolfe, and William Faulkner. Two letters written to Leslie Leigh Ducros Seltzer. One letter dated August 30, 1919 discusses a marriage certificate. The second letter dated August 22, 1928 discusses getting together and the completion of Saxon's book, "Fabulous New Orleans."
