Written two years after the Louisiana Purchase, this circular was sent by a German retailer to announce to Spanish-speaking businesses that the cession of Louisiana to the United States has opened the way to free commerce with other countries directly. The firm of Strormann and Ludeling established a house in New Orleans (La.) to deal in linens and other articles. Written in Spanish with translation provided.
