Tower, Eli. Letter, 1866 April 8. 1 item. Location: Misc:T. Letter written by Tower to his cousin relating family matters and his own good employment prospects. He also comments on people moving to Brazil and Mexico because of poor conditions in the postwar South. Tower also mentions an outbreak of small pox in Mobile, Alabama, and throughout the South, cholera in another area of Alabama, and an expected outbreak of yellow fever in Mobile and New Orleans.
