The Department of Louisiana Headquarters was located on Carondolet and Julia Streets in New Orleans, La. At the end of the Civil War, the three-story building acted as Union Army headquarters. A carte-de-visite style photograph of the Department of Louisiana Headquarters depicting a three story building with an American flag on a third floor balcony. Daggett & Enoch Price, pending in the circuit court at St. Louis, Mo. The lawsuit concerned the collision of the steamboats Courtland and St. Louis on the Mississippi River somewhere above the Claiborne County-Jefferson County, Miss., line in October 1830.
