Diary includes brief entries on battles at Valverde (Tex.), and Fort Butler and Lafourche (La.). Grow notes troop movements from New Mexico to Louisiana, and describes events associated with the Red River and Lafourche Campaigns, including experiences as a prisoner and encounters between Confederates and Native-Americans.
