Business papers of the law firm of Harris and Harris, a partnership of Confederate General Nathaniel Harrison Harris and his brother Captain James W. M. Harris. The firm operated from Vicksburg, Mississippi. Correspondence from the collection concerns railroad bonds, contracts and construction; land deeds and sales; taxes; insurance policies; ledgers; receipts; bills; cancelled checks; and bank settlements.
