Reynaud Family. Postcards, 1907-1913, undated. 35 items. Location: 10:62. Louis Favrot Reynaud (1842-1921) was a physician and medical instructor born in Baton Rouge, La., and residing in New Orleans. The collection consists of picture postcards from the early 20th century. They depict scenes in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport, Louisiana. About half of the postcards are blank, while the majority of the others are addressed to L. F. Reynaud from his daughters. Mss. 5233.

Description
New Orleans photographs, circa 1890. 3 photographs. Location: V:62. The New Orleans photographs contain three images of New Orleans, including the Parish Prison in Treme; a wharf with the steamboat, Assumption, docked; and the Henry Clay monument. Built between 1832 and 1836, the Parish Prison was located between Treme and Marais on Orleans Street. The photograph of the wharf contains African American stevedores preparing to load the ships. The image of the Henry Clay monument depicts the monument when it was located at Canal Street and St. Charles, prior to the move to Lafayette Square in 1901. Behind the Clay monument in the photograph is the building that houses A.M. Hill's watches and jewelry and street car tracks. Mss. 5104.

Photograph album of Victorian house in New Orleans, circa 1898-1903. 1 photograph album. Location O:16. The photograph album of a Victorian house in New Orleans contains photographs of a house located at Pelican and Elmira Avenue in the Algiers section of New Orleans, Louisiana. The pictures in the album depict the exterior and interior of the house and its residents. The family members in the pictures are known only by their first names: Eugene, Mollie, and Patricia. Included in the front of the album is a note \"Emmie from Mollie and Eugene.\" The house, its residents\' clothing, and its interior furnishings are all in the Victorian style. The house was built in the late 1890s or early 1900s. The first resident listed for the residence appears in known records beginning in 1903 and is a physician named Arthur J. Babin. Mss. 5109.
