This medical daybook contains entries giving names of patients, services, and fees by Dr. Whitman Wilcox Sr. in West Feliciana Parish for the period 1854-1876. It contains credit accounts for individual customers of a dry goods merchant and blacksmith, possibly Whitman Wilcox Jr. at Bayou Sara, for the period 1883-1886. Mss. 4049.

His great-uncle, John Boylston Hazard, served as Captain of the 24th Alabama Infantry, Company I during the Civil War. Papers include correspondence, manuscripts, and printed material documenting Wildman's career in teaching and writing. Manuscripts consist of novels, short stories, essays, and poems, both published and unpublished.
