Papers document medical care for family members and slaves; and include letters from New Orleans merchants and a letter from a Missouri slave dealer (1836). Some materials relate to David J. Fluker of East Feliciana Parish, Kendrick's son-in-law. Scrapbook that primarily contains clippings from several different newspapers documenting Kennedy's high school graduation, various awards and honors from Farmerville High and LSU, his ordeal with the "Whangdoodle" scandal, and several obituaries of him. It also contains one letter, a telegram from friends, a summons to appear in court, an executive order suspending him from LSU in 1930, a pledge sheet with signatures to swear to uphold the privacy of the Theta Nu Epsilon fraternity, a handwritten note from one of his ex-fraternity brothers, and a program of "Memorial Exercises before the Supreme Court of Louisiana."
