The order corrects a previous official report that stated that the 7th Regiment of the Vermont Volunteers lost its colors at the Battle of Baton Rouge. Clarifying that it was not its regimental colors but rather its camp colors that the regiment lost, the order states that the colors will be restored to the regiment.
