Contains a program for the opera Cavalleria rusticana and a recital of modern dance, performed during the 1936-1937 Louisiana State University Opera Season by the School of Music and the Dance Center, sponsored by The Baton Rouge Grand Opera Association. Scrapbook also contains black and white photographic prints (portraits) of the opera's cast, including Marcella Uhl as Lola. Mss. 5380.

Clair Cazayoux, a Jesuit priest, teacher and, and missionary; Gene Cazayoux, Catholic brother; librarian Vivian Cazayoux; and Drs. Francis and Robert Cazayoux. Papers consist of correspondence, sermons, church publications, travel pamphlets, speeches, and scrapbooks, reflecting careers, education, and the Catholic Church. Collection also offers insight into the political events and social conditions in Ceylon and India, and the U.S. military involvement in Korea during the 1950s and early 1960s.   • Centenary College of Louisiana. Document, 1845. 1 item. Location: Misc:C. Undergraduate college in Jackson, Louisiana. Formed in the 1840s from a merger of the College of Louisiana and Centenary College. Judge Edward McGehee, a planter and businessman of Mississippi, was instrumental in the founding of the college. Document pertaining to the purchase of the College of Louisiana, to be called the Centenary College of Louisiana. Blanchard certify the election of presidential electors for Louisiana. Those eight electors certify that they cast eight abstaining votes for president of the United States and eight votes for Benjamin Gratz Brown of Missouri for vice president. Mss. 3921.

Chadbourne's letters relate his experiences while stationed in Louisiana as part of General Nathaniel Banks' army at Baton Rouge, Donaldsonville, Morgan City, Washington, and Port Hudson. Chaffe's Shingle Mill was a manufacturer of cypress shingles and lumber in Eugenia Louisiana. Collection includes a cotton market report book (1887-1893), an order book (1894-1895), and daily report forms (1893), respectively, for the three Chaffe businesses. Six diaries cover the period 1849-1863 and describe Chambers's activities in North St. Louis, New Orleans, Panama City, Yazoo County, Mississippi, and Madison Parish, Louisiana. The diary from 1862-1863 describes experiences in Vicksburg and includes an account of the siege of Vicksburg. Collection also includes a diary of Augustus Lattz of the 76th Illinois Regiment.
