Kenny Harrison: Went to the School of Visual Arts. In Manhattan studying first fine arts. Then I switched over to illustration. I never did graduate. I started working while I was in school.
Interviewer: So that’s from elementary school you were in like an arts geared school . . . specialized school?
Harrison: Well that was college, School of Visual Arts, but elementary school I was interested in art. Forever. I have my third grade report card at my desk where I failed every subject except for art.
Interviewer: Except for art.
Harrison: Yeah and I got left back in third grade. I’m completely dyslexic. And school was kind of hard but art wasn’t, so I focused on what my strengths were.
